BIRDY
Dale Stoughtenger used only mahogany wood to construct this 16' inboard powered motorboat BIRDY for his son Jay Stoughtenger of Boston, MA. He worked over two winters beginning in late 1999, and launching BIRDY on May 26, 2001 in Chippewa Bay on the St. Lawrence River.
AMANDA LOUISE
Beau Bureau and his father built this 9′6″ Nutshell pram in their garage, from plans bought at The WoodenBoat Store. Beau named the boat for his wife. The family sails AMANDA LOUIS on local Minnesota lakes, including Martin Lake (shown here.)

Cosine Wherry
Last summer, Steve Smith launched this 14′4″ x 4′6″ Cosine Wherry, designed by John Hartsock. Steve spent 275 hours on this boat following directions from J.D. Brown’s Rip, Strip, and Row, available from the WoodenBoat Store.
The Black Sheep
This is a 2013 new-build, designed by James-Craft; The Black Sheep is a reproduction Chris-Craft Kit Boat, 1956 Zephyr Runabout. I spent about 600 hours building her over the course of 4 summers — about 10 hours per week June-August. This is my first boat build.
SIBERIANA
Emili Castillo of Barcelona, Spain, recently launched this Penobscot 14 on the Fluvia River near his home. He named the boat SIBERIANA in honor of his son, who was born in Siberia, Russia, and his wife and daughter, who are both named Anna.
SPRING RUN KAYAK
Sam Schaner built this 16'10' cedar-strip kayak, designed by Joe Greenley of Redfish Kayaks, using Western red cedar, basswood, walnut, and oak. It is the Spring Run model, 16'10" long with a beam just under 2 feet.
LIL' DIPPER
This is a 3/4 size Dipper designed by Sam Devlin. Just built for fun as a little show boat. I Enjoy cruising up and down the AuGres River in AuGres, MI. People actually come out of their houses to take video as I cruise by.
