After two decades of intermittent work, Wesley Wenhardt, Executive Director of the Foss Waterway Seaport got to try his famous “J” stroke on his casually restored piece of canoeing history. Wes hopes to be seen paddling the byways of the Foss Waterway in Tacoma later this summer.
Cristobal Verde, a shipwright from Sarteneja, Belize, started building this 16′ sailboat for an American living in New York City. Midway through the job, the boat was abandoned and left unfinished for three years.

Fifteen years ago, David McNaught of Greensboro, North Carolina, ordered plans for this 12′ sailing dinghy from http://www.bateau.com. He started building the stitch-and-glue boat and worked on it for two months before he had to put it away.
Honey was launched a few days before Christmas 2023. She is a stout 13 foot skiff designed and built for the Westport River. She's built of local materials. All of her hardware and fasteners are from C.E. Beckman's of New Bedford and all of her paint is from Kirby's.
This is a PT Watercraft PT 11 I built from their fantastic kit. I completed it in Fall ’21. It is painted inside and out with Perfection two-part urethane to protect it from the Florida sun and keep it cool. I left a small stripe of clear around the interior to show what it is really made of.
