I’ve been building this auk for the last five years in my garage. The idea was that I would learn how to build a boat with this one and then move onto something a little larger, but I am not too sure how my wife will take to the news that I’m starting another one.
LILAH is a 15 ft CLC Peeler Skiff designed by John C. Harris and built this past Winter from a kit. She will ply the waters of Lake Sinclair and Lake Oconee in Georgia for fishing and exploration.
HORNET is a 1981, 18' Hankins sailing skiff, recently relaunched by Damian Siekonic of Privateer Media Built by Charles Hankins & sons of Lavallette, New Jersey, as hull number CHS-812-M81G, HORNET has appeared in three films since being bought by Siekonic in 2000.

Community School of Davidson is at it again, this time launching a Dave Gentry designed “Wee Lassie” built by 6th and 7th grade students at their middle school. Instructor Jim Dumser built it with eight students from the Friday “explore elective” over the fall and winter.
KAPETAN was launched May 29th, 2016 off the beach she was designed to break through waves to the sacred fishing grounds of Pacific City, Oregon. Wood used in construction was all made with Sapelle.
