The Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding in Port Hadlock launched on June 14, three classic Whitehalls built for the British Broadcasting Corporation. The BBC used the boats in August 2013 to recreate John Wesley Powell’s 1869 exploration of the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon.
LEGACY is a 1956 Thompson Sea Coaster that Bob Cristina of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina recently gave to his son Ed Cristina of Ashton, Ontario. Ed did a few repairs and gave LEGACY a whole new finish before re-launching her in August 2011.
Andrew Green recently launched his Wee Lassie canoe. This is the second Wee Lassie he has built. This one is 10′6″ long version weighing 31 lbs using the blue print plans created by Mac McCarthy and using instructions from his Featherweight Boatbuilding book.
Aleksander Celarek just built this new motor launch, XIĄŻĘ XAWERY, with auxilary sail power. Based on designs of steam launches from the end of the 19th century, it is named after the first steamship that came to Poland from England in 1827.

Here floats RED RYDER in a swimming pool with her builder, Rip Graham of St. Simons Island, Georgia, aboard. His wife Charlotte took the pictures and shared Rip’s project with us. Rip built modified version of Tom Yost’s Nikumi design for a 17′ x 22″ Aluetian Baidarka touring kayak.
Frank Bailleul launched his sea kayak CORRYVRECKAN built and designed by Sardine Boats on the Bono river, south Brittany-France. The CORRYVRECKAN is a stitch-n-glue kayak designed for tall paddlers and touring.

Cadenza was built in 2003 at Rockport Marine by shipwright John England from a design by L.
