WOTAMA
WOTAMA is a 38' 6" auxiliary ketch, built 1967-1974 by Cyril and Margaret Wriede in Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia to the 1947 design of Edward R Weber, then of Norge Boats Inc, Darien CT (published in The Rudder, January 1950, pp 62-63).

This schooner is intended as a comfortable cruising yacht for a couple with occasional guests, and to be of simple construction so that Jack everyman can build it. It has a twin keel / centreline rudder configuration.

In 2012 Ashley Butler was in Cornwall to be found building two comparable yachts, one for himself and another for a client more or less in parallel, though no surprise that his client’s commission took priority when it came to meeting the completion date.

Extensive restoration by David Dickinson and relaunched in 1996.
