Bear Mountain Boat Shop of Peterborough Ontario provided the plans for this 16' Chestnut Prospector Canoe built by Brian Maiorano of Missoula, Montana. He named her MAKAI, which is Hawaiian for "toward the ocean".
Though he’s read WoodenBoat magazine for most his adult life, Andrew Noble of Basket Range, South Australia, finally built his first boat. MOLLIE is a 7′10″ Auk design by Iain Oughtred, and carries 42 sq ft of sail. Andrew bought the plans from Duck Flat Wooden Boats.
Anita Repp has a new 15' skiff, PENELOPE, built by her husband Doug, for fishing and picnicking. Doug made PENELOPE with plywood planking on pine frames, and he use fir for the keel and chines. The hull is covered in epoxy and fiberglass cloth.
We launched the Ozona Pram demo this last May and it debuted at the Cedar Key Small boat Meet 2016
Bev and Frank Salomonsen of Rochester, Minnesota, built this balanced-lug sailboat from plans of the Tirrik design by Iain Oughtred. They built the 16′10″ hull from okoume plywood planking, with stem and keel of white oak.
David Stevens, a Nova Scotia boat builder, took the lines for the schooner BONNY (30'LOA, 8'beam) from a derelict boat in saw in a field on Bush Island. He built her as a work boat for his own use in his declining years.

Launched 18 May, 2015 at Spruce Head, Maine. Fannie Salter is a 23′ Cedar Key Sharpie built to a modified Reuel Parker Design White pine on white oak with copper and stainless fasteners. She will be Cat Ketch rigged 172sq. ft. sail area 10.5′ oar.
Rich Hanenburg dedicated more than 5000 hours over 6 years to the construction of his 28' Nordcoaster called HOHUM. The hull and cabin are made from plywood, with framing in mahogany, fir, and oak; then Rich covered the entire boat with fiberglass and epoxy.
Sweet-lined Acorn skiff designed by Iain Oughtred, completed in 1999 but still like new.
