Rivus, a 16′ melonseed, was launched on August 30, 2014. She was built from Marc Barto’s WoodenBoat Store plans, glued lap construction. Her rig was designed by John Brady of Philadelphia’s Independence Seaport Museum.
THELMA is an 11’4” cedar strip canoe with Douglas Fir gunwales and Ash stems. She is the first boat built by cousins Tristan and Tom and was made under a tarpaulin shelter at the end of their garden in Southampton, England.

Christian Neumann of Absam, Austria, who last year built an Iain Oughtred sailboat, has been building again and recently launched a pirogue design for his grandson Moses. This design is from Dynamite Payson’s book Instant Boatbuilding with Dynamite Payson.
Kelsey Johnson built “Knute” over the course of a year and a half. Carpenter by trade and a first time boat builder. It was made of white oak for the frames, mahogany for comings and trim, marine grade plywood for hull. This is a Glen L15 design. The mast and boom is douglas fir.
