Don Brophy writes "While searching for a Lyman, Everett Foster happened across an aricle in WB on MacKenzie Cuttyhunks.
Bob Guess launched this Lawley Madelon yacht tender on August 1, 2001. She is planked with white juniper cedar on laminated white oak ribs. Each strake is epoxied to its neighbor. The trim is mahogany.
EMMY is a 1936 wooden Cape Cod Baby Knockabout (#51) built at Cape Cod Shipbuilding in Wareham, MA. EMMY is 18 feet long and has a beam of 5'10". She had been stored at Hall's Boatyard at Lake George, NY for 25 years, before being rescued by Joe O'Neill and his wife.
Bill Warm restored his Seaford Skiff in 2009 and says that he built the skiff in 1999.
Jessie and Giles Kopfelt get plenty of seatime aboard their Gloucester Rocker built by their grandfather Svein Kopfelt. The rodker gots tons of sea miles under it already.
John Horst writes "I designed and built (actually just built) this 16' x 4' boat for rowing and fishing on Cabbage Creek and the ICW in Ponte Vedra, FL." He used 5/16" cypress planking over resorcinol-laminated ash frames.
Floridian Mark Nye recently built and launched this 14′ long Petrel Play kayak. Mark spent just under 135 hours, spread over five months,on the construction of this stitch-and-glue kit. He stained some of the hull pieces prior to construction of highlight the hull’s puzzle joints.
The “LUCKY LADY TOO” was built from a Portage Pram kit purchased from Duckworks in Port Townsend WA. It is a tender for our 1969 30' Tollycraft Royal Double Cabin cruiser, The Lucky Lady. The weight is approximately 40 lbs.
IBIS is a 15’plywood lapstrake Duck Trap Wherry built in the late 1990’s by Will Buchanan to a design by Walter Simmons. Now in the care of Miles McCoy of Orcas Island, Washington, IBIS was rebuilt over the past two winters and relaunched this summer, just in time for Miles and his bride Louelle
