Jerry Stein of Neenah, Wisconsin, built this 15′ canoe, a Hiawatha design by Bear Mountain Boats, and shown in Canoecraft, by Ted Moores. He built the hull from western red cedar and ash, then sheathed it with fiberglass cloth, inside and out.
LILAH is a 15 ft CLC Peeler Skiff designed by John C. Harris and built this past Winter from a kit. She will ply the waters of Lake Sinclair and Lake Oconee in Georgia for fishing and exploration.
Bruce Lee writes of his newly built Arch Davis design Penobscot 14, "I built the boat in British Columbia, Canada before moving Sydney, Australia where I continue to do business as Lee Wooden Kayaks Canoes (Winner of Best Small Boat, Vancouver Wooden Boat Festival, 1999).
Tom Karsnia designed and built the EDNA BELLE during the summer of 2004. He writes that the boat floats and rides like a dream. It seems as light as a feather in the water. It is easy to maneuver and turns on a dime. It is made of 3/8" marine plywood and western red cedar coated with epoxy.
CHIME (it’s a little dinghy) is a Chesapeake Light Craft Passagemaker Dinghy. The kit was a family gift, and building help came from all of our children and kids, and Captain Hook (our dog, who endured many hours on the garage floor watching epoxy dry).
Ted Jones of Gundalow Boat Shop in Ossipee, NH designed and built this 11'6" dory skiff BANNITO for his son and grandson. She was launched in September 2002 on the Sakonnet River in RI. Her hull is okoume plywood with epoxy and Dynel. She is based on his earlier design, the DORITA dory.
The B&B Yacht Designs Two-Paw 8. The Two-Paw is a nesting pram, stitched-and-glued using Okoume, Sitka Spruce, Mahogany and Ash.
