Strumpet was designed for a very experienced yachtsman. He told us he wanted a boat based on the Scottish fishing trawlers distinctive double-ended hull forms for appearance and seaworthiness.
Here is another little skiff inspired by a Chesapeake Bay working craft.
With her 28″ beam, substantial flare, and sweetly shaped ends, she loves rough water. Her plywood hull is one of the prettiest we’ve seen.Construction: Plywood over web frames. Lofting is required.Plans include 4 sheets.

Spray 33
Wood / Epoxy This 33ft Spray has been built in large numbers and has crossed all oceans and completed circumnavigations.
Construction - Glued lapstrake clinker plywood. No Lofting required. Plans include 7 sheets with photocopies of Classic Boat building series. Sail Area - 67 sq. ft.
MARSH HEN offers seaworthy and seakindly performance, good speeds with modest horsepower, and handsome looks. Her plywood construction is more accessible to amateur builders.
Our Deben Class designs are inspired by the original Deben 4-tonner, which my father commissioned from W. M. Blake in 1936 and the Deben 6-tonner, designed by my father in 1950. At least 35 of the 4-tonners and 3 of the 6-tonners were built between 1937 and 1960.
