And he has been building and repairing fine wooden boats since 1980. The conversation ranges from the Landing School’s humble beginnings to its current status as as a leader in boatbuilding, design, and systems education. Rick also describes how he delivered the school’s curriculum online, during the COVID-19 lockdown, by having students build a fleet of fine models of the B.B. Crowninshield-designed Dark Harbor 17½.
