Classic Staempfli Single Scull--1976
Iconic Spanish Cedar rowing shell for oarsman / oarswoman weighing up to 175 lbs is 25'-9" length x 11" beam, and displacement of 34 lbs.
Built by the word-famous shop A. Staempfli, Zurich, Switzerland, and still in production today. She comes with two pair of original Staempfli hollow-core, wooden oars, custom built (Proctor design) car top carrier, and pair of dry-land resting slings.
She was featured in an extensive WoodenBoat Magazine article "The Call of Wooden Racing Shells" by Daniel Boyne and M. Linda Thomas (JanuaryFebruary 1997, issue No. 134), and in a book "Regatta--A Celebration of Oarsmanship" by Benjamin Ivry (1988).
She has been out of use in careful indoor storage for over 45 years and in like-new condition today.
