Completed Chester Yawl, from plans at Chesapeake Light Craft. This is a working boat, intended for rowing by one or two on lake Erie. It has a work boat finish. The gravel beaches on this part of Lake Erie are very hard on the finish.
A modified Chesapeake Light Craft Guider. I built this boat over the 2021-2022 winter in my garage/shop in Connecticut. I am sailing her out of Pulpit Harbor in Penobscott Bay, Maine.
Launched June 1 at Lake Hall in Tallahassee, FL. Construction based on plans from Glen-L Amp Eater design. Decks are Cypress and Sapele, and the hull is meranti plywood. Powered by below deck trolling motor — instead of a tiller we used a Seastar system with a steering wheel.
She is a Big Ben Garvey designed by Doug Hylan. A wedding gift for my younger daughter and her husband Casey and Joe Bedard she was only about two years late but the new owners love it. She is epoxy/fiberglass over fir plywood with a simple painted finish and unfinished red cedar floorboards.

Taking plans and instructions from Dynamite Payson's plans and book, Build The New Instant Boats, Brendan Shea built this Diablo skiff, DY-NO-MITE, and launched her in July, 2011. The hull is 15′ LOA with a 5′ Beam, and is constructed from marine plywood with ash rails.
