Strumpet
Strumpet was designed for a very experienced yachtsman. He told us he wanted a boat based on the Scottish fishing trawlers distinctive double-ended hull forms for appearance and seaworthiness.

This Catamaran was designed for the avid home builder. Solid construction ensures a sturdy seagoing vessel for family cruising and exploring. The Magnificat was designed to maximise the space below and provide comfortable accomodations.
This design has the same nice interior space layout as Badger, with the addition of quarter berths aft. For a family of four to live aboard, as has been done on one of the sisterships, this provides good separation of the sleeping spaces.
Badger gained widespread fame as the subject of the book Voyaging On A Small Income. The concept of this design was to use the basic interior accommodation plan that worked so well on the 34′ Topsail Ketch Sunrise, which was evolved and improved on during the decade that I lived aboard her.

Just completed this is a Duck Trap Wherry, designed by Walt Simmons. Purchased as a stalled project off Craigslist the purchase included plans, a set of forms, a keel with stem and transom attached and four sheets of plywood.
This design came about when I got to thinking about having an elegant dinghy for our 34′ Topsail Ketch Sunrise.
The traditional yawlboat is a hard-working boat, carried on the stern davits of a larger working vessel. They have sweet shapes to be easily driven and as was befitting the pride of workmanship that went into their construction. This latter day version is much lighter and smaller in size.
An Echo Bay Dory Skiff built with a sprit sail rig built from a kit by Chase Small Craft. The boat was 8 years in the making (I have other hobbies too).
Sunrise was my home for a decade. She has a typical New England Pinky hull with their extended bulwarks and mini-transom at their conclusion. She has comfortable accommodations for a couple to live aboard, with occasional guests.
