Bedard Yacht Design’s Ozona X Nesting Pram evolved from the hugely popular Ozona Pram and a significant demand from cruisers for a nesting dinghy, slightly larger.
The Unicat 2.4 is all about practicality and safety. Packing a 230kg load capacity, the Unicat is suitable for 3 adults, and the inverted vee hull is much more stable than conventional dinghies. The high freeboard also ensures a dry ride in most conditions.
“Breeze” is a 10′ (3m) double paddle canoe. Two sheets of plywood needed. Stitch and glue construction using 3″(75mm) fiberglass tape in epoxy for all seams inside and out. The deciding factors when designing the boat were mostly the same as with all my designs - seaworthiness and lightweight.
We included in our catalog this boat for a request of one of our customers who identified in this model the traditional American boat, whose designs were published in WoodenBoat magazine, with the strange name “Dispro”, which meant the “Disappearing propeller boat”.
This boat, with a LOA of 8 mt,develops an internal volume such as to allow 6 crew members a sailing cruise.The hull lines and deck lines are to corner for simplicity of construction, and are harmonized with the hull volume.
