In 1987, I flew to Westport Point, Mass., from Austin, Texas, with tape measure, pencil, and pad and measured an old family boat that was on sawhorses in a field.
This vessel was built in 1957 by Naval Architect Ted Carpentier in who also worked as an engineer for Hughes Aircraft. It was custom built for the CEO of United Airlines (in fact, the original spinnaker is in United Airlines colors).
