Driftwood

Driftwood’s hull is constructed of marine mahogany covered by fibreglass. The keel, stem, gunwales, benches, and spray rails are made from Sapele. It’s a Candlefish 13 Devlin Design that uses the stitch and glue construction method.

GRAVY

GRAVY is the first boat I’ve ever owned. I saw one of designer Berkeley Eastman’s micro tugs at the waterfront boat museum / restaurant at Disney Springs and fell in love. GRAVY is the Candu Junior model.

TWINKLE

TWINKLE (yup, that’s her name) was conceived on April 15, 2017 and launched on July 30. Her home is Rocky Mount, NC. She is a Chesapeake 17 sea kayak from Chesapeake Light Craft. Made of Okoume marine plywood, epoxy, fiberglass, varnish and more than a little blood and sweat.

Nick and I started work on the ladder frame for this, our first boat on December 20th, 2016. Her first day in the water was June 15th, 2017. We estimate 500 hours in her construction. We were coached by the video series with Geoff Kerr and published by Off Center Harbor.

Here is a Jeff Spira designed Pescadero I recently completed. It was designed as a light tackle tarpon hunter for the central gulf coast of Florida. The boat performs better than expected and makes an ideal fishing platform.
