Believe to be second hull built to the design after the Hiscock’s first circumnavigation, launched 1958. Toroa underwent an extensive refit in 2020 and $20K in improvements and new systems under our ownership. Heavily built, cedar over white oak. Yanmar 3GM30, January 2025 haulout.

The Headwater TRANSPORT 9.9 is an easily Car-Topped Pram Dinghy with a constant deadrise 10 deg. V-bottom Planing Hull with lifting chine strips. Bow and stern seats provide level flotation if the hull is swamped, and also provide dry storage if watertight closures are installed.

Purchased out of Westport NY from a fellow who has the most impressive collection of wooden canoes and sculls I have ever seen. This one, Beaty, is in need of refinishing but instead of canvas I'll probably epoxy her in and out.
