My name is Jessy Hintz from Louisville, CO. In the spring of 2020 my neighbor acquired a 16 foot unfinished cedar striped canoe hull of unknown design. The original outer fiberglass sheeting did not adhere.
I started this boat by purchasing Canoecraft by Ted Moores. I ordered the book in the mid 90’s from the Woodenboat Store as a Naval Aviator stationed in Maine. Through many duty station changes I wore out the book.
Kingswood II was launched in 1964 as Tammy. It was the first of Harvey Halvorsen’s designs and the first of the double diagonal V bottom hulls.
One of the features of Pegasus Town (in North Canterbury, New Zealand) that drew me to it was it’s lake; nestled in beautifully landscaped grounds it provides a haven for waterfowl and sheltered waters absolutely ideal for pottering around on in a small boat.
