The Walter Cordes family purchased the 1967 wooden Lyman from Cleveland, Ohio, in 2012 and restored her in the summer of 2013. Walt Cordes of Wyoming, Ohio, took the lead and coordinated all of the restoration and performed a majority of the work.

This design was inspired by Ross Lillistone’s “Water Rat”. The bow transom was replaced by a pointed stem. Also the internal volume and from there the displacement of the boat were increased by about 20%. Changes were made to the seating arrangement as well.

The idea behind this design was to see how much boat can be squeezed out of a single sheet of plywood 4x8′ (1220 x 2440mm). The resulting boat is suitable for kids to paddle on ponds or very small lakes.

"Colibri" - 7.5'(2.30m) General Purpose Dinghy

This small dinghy can be used for fishing, pleasure rowing or as a tender for a bigger yacht. It can also be fitted with a small outboard motor. The boat has a relatively high freeboard and can take a fair amount of load. It handles very well small waves or wake caused by powerboats.

DRIFTWOOD (ex-WOODPUSSY) is a classic example of a mid-century lapstrake Jersey Sea Skiff, a general style of powerboat that was popular in the middle 1900s all along the East Coast.DRIFTWOOD is planked with ¾″ Jersey white cedar on steam-bent oak ribs on 6″ centers and fastened with copper rivet
