Michael P. Smith, Commander, United States Navy (retired) designed and built boats all of his life, from boats on the Clinton River in Michigan to prams and skiffs on Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island.

This V-bottomed daysailer can be shallow or deep drafted and is easily sailed.

Construction: Batten-seam planking over steamed frames

Alternative construction: Plywood

Lofting is optional.

ROBERTS 470 - WOOD EPOXY
The accommodation of this design has been laid out to suit two couples. The Roberts 470 makes a fine long distance cruising yacht.

The F1430 is a unique sit-on-top stitch and glue kayak.

The Mill Creek 16.5™ is enormously popular because it can be used in so many ways. Not only can you paddle it as a single or a double, but you can sail it, or add a sliding-seat rowing unit.

A handsome daysailer based on the Herreshoff Fish Class, but with a centerboard conversion similar to that of the Haven 12 1/2.

Construction: Carvel planked over steam-bent frames.
