‘Volare’ comes in two versions. This is the utility version, the console version is available as a separate set of plans. They’re both 15′4″ long and 5′ wide.Her length is that of two sheets of 8′ plywood and she’s built in two halves (bow end and stern end).

Test the Arctic Hawk on the worst conditions and you will find it at its best.The Arctic Hawk is a medium volume, touring kayak which recreates the legendary West Greenland kayak in today's material and technology. The West Greenland design was bred in adversity and perfected in storm and ice.

After numerous requests for a larger version of our “Happy Hour” fishing kayak here is the result. “Long Weekend” is not a mere scale up. Bottom is V-shaped which improves tracking and ability to handle small waves. The slightly narrower beam makes the hull fast. Stability is great.

Simon found an older version of this boat back in the eighties and realized that its thousand-year-old design could be copied and preserved without too much difficulty. He measured it out in ’89 and Bill Nielsen lofted it and drew up the plans in ’91.

Spray 52 is available as a Wood / Epoxy plan and full size frame patterns.

Beautiful 8 ft mahogany runabout with electric power. Great for children but will accommodate adult(s).
