“Te Mata’i” was launched July 2021 on Tomahawk Lake in Woodruff, WI as the first retirement project of owner/builder Scott Joswiak. Starting as a Pro Kit in April 2020 and designed by John C. Harris of Chesapeake Light Craft, she is a modern version of a Tahitian Outrigger sailing canoe.

SHIRLEY is a Redfish Kayaks Spring Run. She has been something of labour of love, having been in progress for 4 plus years. She is built of Western Red Cedar, Paulownia and Hoop Pine, and comes in at about 18Kg or 40lbs.

HMC #1397 was built in 1937 for O.G. Ricketson who raced the boat at the New Bedford YC, Padanaram, MA, until WWII —she was called PLABEN with the sail number 109. O.G. Ricketson, Jr.’s sister, Lucy Ricketson Ferguson also raced this boat along with other family H 12’s.
