Matt Haslam bought the plans for the 12′ 6″ Salt Bay Skiff by Chris Franklin from Bruce King Yacht Design after it was featured in WB No. 199 in 2007. He built his skiff out of materials he found locally near his home in Wichita, Kansas.

This Adirondack Guideboat built by Gary Stephenson, won a blue ribbon at the Northeast Woodworker's Showcase in Saratoga Springs, New York. Gary, of Ballston Spa, New York, built this 16′ Guideboat using traditional construction methods and materials.

Describing himself as a subscriber from day one, Bob Haig of Sarnia, Ontario, just built a Solo Carry Canoe. Hilary Russell of the Berkshire Boat Building School in Sheffield, Massachusetts designed the Solo Carry.
