"Theia Eirene" -- This stunning and very usable antique wooden Double Thames River Skiff is 26’ long (27’ including rudder), 4’ 7” at the beam, and comes with a 28’ long trailer. This gem was built by E. Messum & Sons in the 1870’s in a Richmond, England boatyard on the banks of the Thames.
My Girfriend and I built a Tango skiff and launched last fall its a great performing little skiif and the extended sponsons in the back by the motor act as built in trim tabs so it does not sqaut at all as it comes up on plane. A Suzuki 20 scoots it along and about 29 mph.
My love for the water, history and craftsmanship drew me to build my own sailboat. Arch Davis' Penobscot 17 was the perfect choice and a joy to build.
