HMC #1397 was built in 1937 for O.G. Ricketson who raced the boat at the New Bedford YC, Padanaram, MA, until WWII —she was called PLABEN with the sail number 109. O.G. Ricketson, Jr.’s sister, Lucy Ricketson Ferguson also raced this boat along with other family H 12’s.
WIZARD
This 17′ Cat-Ketch is a replica of the 1889 design by Nathanael Herreshoff and built for his own use on the waters of Narragansett Bay. Capt. Nat based the design on his earlier vessel of 1874, Riviera, which he and his brother designed, built and sailed throughout Europe in their early 20s.
ITALIAN JOB
A fishing, cruising, camping boat designed to be beached in protective waters, especially Puget Sound. Lightweight cabin is removable by pulling four pins, allowing the trailer and boat to be home garaged.
ELSIE KAYE
Glued lapstrake Phoenix III designed by Ross Lillistone. Built over a period of 3 years, with most of this occurring during the 2021 COVID Pandemic.
MARGARET
The classic lines and pedigree was Bob Luckraft’s inspiration to saving this 15′ x 8′ catboat. MARGARET was built in 1920, by Manuel Swartz Roberts.
JOSIE
I built this Eastport Ultralight dinghy (from Chesapeak Light Craft) to get to a mooring on Sengekontacket Pond, in Edgartown, Massachusetts.
