Inspired by Philip Rhodes’ Bantam and Uffa Fox’s Jolly Boat, Corsair has a Suicide sail plan with a wishbone boom. The current mainsail was donated from Suicide #8, Joker. The underbody of the boat has a fine, deep entry with a long flat run which should plane easily.

Our Caledonia Yawl KATHLEEN was launched for the first time on May 1, 2015 at the Cedar Key Small Boat Meet.She is the 16th boat and 3 trimaran conversions that Kathie and I have built. Hull was built on used Hewes and Co molds from meranti marine ply, We spiled, patterned and fit each plank.

The Lady Bug design by Jim Michalak is intended to be a quick-onto-the water, plywood, house painted boat. Together with boatbuilder Greg Hopkins, we decided to upgrade some and use better materials. The plywood is marine grade, there are teak fittings and she is glassed.

MONHEGAN

MONHEGAN is a 37-foot Elihu Beal Downeast Lobster hull. Built in 1969 and purchased without engine or equipment installed, her original owner powered her with a Detroit Diesel and used her for transportation of tourists from New Harbor, Maine, to Monhegan Island in the summer.
