SUE SEAY Q
Guy Seay Jr., his wife, Sue, and sons, Michael and Eric, all had a hand in building SUE SEAY Q, a 9′6″ Nutshell pram designed by Joel White. The family had bought the kit from The WoodenBoat Store.
Wood Duck 12 Kayak
Joseph Krajewski got a wonderful birthday present from his wife, a WoodenBoat School class held at Chesapeake Light Craft (www.clcboats.com) in Annapolis, Maryland. He and his son, Jason, spent five days building a 12′ plywood-and-epoxy Wood Duck kayak.
DULWEN
DULWEN is a 1957 power cruiser designed by Ed Monk and built by Philbrook’s Boat Yard in Victoria, British Columbia. She was designed and built to be 32′ long, but recently owners Jan and Shelley Nielsen of West Wind Hardwood lengthened her hull by 3 feet.
ARROWHEAD
ARROWHEAD is a rare Alden “Explorer” Class (design 699E), there apparently having been only 5 ever built, and Arrowhead is apparently the lone survivor.
PLEIADES
Celebrity Sloop # 513 was manufactured in Holland in 1953. It is molded plywood with spruce spars, nautical bronze hardware and mahogany decking. It was sailed by its owner from 1972 to 1984, and has been in sheltered storage since.
1/2 FAST
I’ve built 30+ boats as a hobby so I know enough to be dangerous. A few years ago someone decided I needed yet “another” project so they donated a 19402 era Chris Craft (I think) mahogany planked hull.
Bowler
Thank you for considering my plans for BOWLER, a “cruising” version of my TOP HAT launch. These boats are descended from Harry Bryan’s inspired Handy Billy design, which in turn can trace it’s origins back to William Hand's vee bottom designs from the early 20th century.
Point Comfort 23
This boat is a larger version of my popular POINT COMFORT 18, a traditional Chesapeake Bay workboat type reinterpreted for simpler and more modern construction.
PELICAN
PELICAN is designed to commute from Florida’s east coast to The Abacos across the Gulf Stream. Making the 200-mile passage within a slim weather window requires a good turn of speed.
