BLACK DOLPHIN
Black Dolphin is a 50-foot sparred length diesel auxiliary gaff-rigged sailing ketch designed by famed Southern California yachtsman and shipwright Hugh Angelman and built … well, we aren’t sure. That is the first little mystery about the boat.
Elizabeth II
The Elizabeth II is a lovely Chaisson Dory, built in a glued lap plywood construction finished in mahogany.
We were commissioned to build this sweet rowboat for Douglas and Elizabeth Eckmann of Ft. Myers Florida to row and play around in the waves, which she does admirably.
Niarbyl II
Owner Nigel Vaughan had an old Eventide that was becoming unreparable, and couldn’t find another boat that suited his needs. He wanted to introduce a separate heads that could be accomodated by adding a foot to overall length an taking off a foot of the cabin seats.
-Finalmente-
I build this boat in 2014.
I spend over six months for this job.
She is a -Pasara- Launch.
The hull is made of three layers of spruce-3 mm thick.
Also the west system.
For the keel and the frames I used oak.
The rest in mahogany and teak.
SUE SEAY Q
Guy Seay Jr., his wife, Sue, and sons, Michael and Eric, all had a hand in building SUE SEAY Q, a 9′6″ Nutshell pram designed by Joel White. The family had bought the kit from The WoodenBoat Store.
Wood Duck 12 Kayak
Joseph Krajewski got a wonderful birthday present from his wife, a WoodenBoat School class held at Chesapeake Light Craft (www.clcboats.com) in Annapolis, Maryland. He and his son, Jason, spent five days building a 12′ plywood-and-epoxy Wood Duck kayak.
DULWEN
DULWEN is a 1957 power cruiser designed by Ed Monk and built by Philbrook’s Boat Yard in Victoria, British Columbia. She was designed and built to be 32′ long, but recently owners Jan and Shelley Nielsen of West Wind Hardwood lengthened her hull by 3 feet.
ARROWHEAD
ARROWHEAD is a rare Alden “Explorer” Class (design 699E), there apparently having been only 5 ever built, and Arrowhead is apparently the lone survivor.
