Huntington Harbor

This Jeff Spira designed Huntington Harbor Kayak was launched at Westlakes, Adelaide, South Australia. It was built by Jeff Rabone in May 2012. The design was modified by double skinning the cockpit floor and adding a keel and some sacrificial timber to the bottom.

Canoe

Richard Hudak, of Hilo, Hawaii, built this gleaming canoe from sugi cedar.  He cut the tree down and milled the  wood himself. He made the paddle from koa wood.  This photograph was taken on New Year's Eve at Reeds Bay on the Big Island in Hawaii.

PERRIWINKLE

Mark Esdaile built this dory rocking boat for his granddaughter, Perri, aged 14 months.  PERRIWINKLE is 3′ long by 18″ wide. Mark built her with scrap hoop pine plywood, pine shelving, epoxy, and love.

Mykizha

Built for one thing in mind. Catching fish in the large swift and turbid rivers of my native Northwest. The name "Mykizha" is the native Kamkathcan word for the Steelhead trout. It is where the Mykis comes from in the scientific name for Rainbow Trout and Steelhead.

The handsom new 44 ft schooner LEAH CAROLINE launched at Trinity, Newfoundland July 7 2012. The latest of many vessels large and small built by 86 year old shipbuilder Henry Vokey of that town. Hundreds of onlookers waited for hours in the rain for the big splashdown.

Crystal 16

The Crystal 16 was designed to be a simple, lightweight flats skiff. Her hull is a simple V-bottom with a bit of flare in her topsides. Her deck features a large casting platform forward with two smaller platforms back aft on both sides. Storage is available up forward below the casting deck.
