Rivus
Rivus, a 16′ melonseed, was launched on August 30, 2014. She was built from Marc Barto’s WoodenBoat Store plans, glued lap construction. Her rig was designed by John Brady of Philadelphia’s Independence Seaport Museum.
ROSA
I designed this 17′ 6″ flat bottom row boat based on my experience and respect for the late Pete Culler. She is glued lap construction of 9mm Okume side planking and a 12mm bottom using west system epoxy. Frames, skeg and keel strip are lumber yard fir.
SEA-FEVER
Custom cabin cruiser designed in down east “built up” style and built 1966 by Herbert Baum Boatbuilder in Kennebunk, Maine. Built for Leighton Chevrolet owner in York Maine as sport fishing boat; twin Corvette engines were originally used and replaced in 1995 with Chrysler marine engines.
NIMBUS
NIMBUS is one of three Mighty Mac’s built by Ned McIntosh, younger brother of Bud McIntosh in 1961. Ned is well known for the dozens if not hundreds of Merry Macs he built in the 1950’s and 1960’s. Like the Merry Mac the Mighty Mac is a hard chine, plywood built boat, but more substantial.
CELERITY
John Noon built this 30′6″ Crocker Gull with Joe Taylor at the shop of Gordon (Swifty) Swift in Kensington NH for Carrie Hollingsworth of York ME. Swifty, a legendary boat builder was present for much of the construction but unfortunately passed away in February 2014.
