"ECHO", Historic and gorgeous 1965 Friendship Sloop, FSS #54. Built for artist William Thon of Port Clyde at Lie-Nielsen's Lee's Boat Shop, Rockland, ME. Bronze fastened cedar on oak with original spruce spars, WC and Merriman bronze fittings and blocks, traditional deadeyes. Bald-headed gaff rig with Oceanus sails: club-footed stays'l, roller-reefed jib and vertical seamed main with three reef lines. All NE Ropes traditional 3-strand lines. Sunbrella sail covers. L.O.D. 22', Beam: 8'; Draft: 4'; Displacement: 5200. Sail Area: 326 SF. Berths two Torqeedo, Yamaha outboards, pair of sweeps, lots of spares, gear. Lying: Wickford, RI.
