21-Foot Beachcomber Alpha Dory, Asking $15,000

A true classic. 21-foot Beachcomber Alpha Dory built by Thames Boatworks (Cyril Thames) in 1986 on Vancouver Island from the plans in John Gardner’s ‘The Dory Book’. Copper fastened Yellow Cedar on Oak. Yellow Cedar spars. Oak rudder and yoke. The boat has an ironwood shoe to protect it from the rocks on the Vancouver Island beaches. It has been sailed extensively in British Columbia, Puget Sound, the Columbia River, and in many of the bays in California but most recently in the Santa Barbara Channel. It has had one owner and is in excellent condition, commensurate with its age and use. Available with King Trailer. Currently in Santa Barbara, California.
