October 8th, 1977, twenty-four “21 feet sailing boats” single handed left Penzance (United Kingdom) for Antigua with a stopover in Tenerife.The smallest offshore racing boats were born and so was favourite race: the Mini Transat.

The classical hull shape of old wooden runabouts of the 70’s combines perfectly well with the use of marine plywood. This allows SILVER 55 to be in the same time elegant and simple to build.

After numerous requests for a larger version of our “Happy Hour” fishing kayak here is the result. “Long Weekend” is not a mere scale up. Bottom is V-shaped which improves tracking and ability to handle small waves. The slightly narrower beam makes the hull fast. Stability is great.

Wantoo is a foldable and trailerable proa with accommodation for 2 or 3 sailors. It is minimum weight (700 kilo), minimum costs (€ 24.000,-), maximum speed and maximum fun to sail.
