PATIENCE
Steve Lansdowne took several courses at WB school in the summers of 2000 and 2001. PATIENCE, a Steve Redmond Whisp design is the result of that experience, Steve Landsdowne writes that he had complete most of the hull before attending the WB school, and now having finished the hull he is pleasantly addicted to wooden boats. PATIENCE is constructed of okoume marine plywood with sitka spruce fore the scantlings, stem, and spars, a transom of western red cedar, and seats of ash. He added a removable orange FunoodleGäó for floatation. Steve also built Wee Rob, a 13'8" Iain Oughtred strip canoe, using western red cedar, ash, mahogany, redwood, and spruce. He used okoume marine plywood for the leeboard, rudder, and floorboards. The hull is covered with 5 oz raka cloth and resin. The sail is from a sailrite kit. Contact Steve at slansdowne@sbcglobal.net
