Register of Wooden Boats

The Akhilandeshvari (Akhila) is a 16.5 foot Mill Creek tandem kayak built from a Chesapeake Light Craft kit. Construction began on August 17th, 2013 and was completed in mid July 2014 with a break from Thanksgiving to late March due to temperature concerns in the workshop.

Whistler’s Daughter is a classic carvel planked mahogany centreboard sloop, fractional rigged, with bright sitka spruce spars and a club foot jib. In 2005, she was fitted with a new teak deck.

I acquired the boat from the man who’s father had her built, hence, I am only the second owner. She has spent her entire life next door to where she was built until I took her to Connecticut. She is now at Dutch Wharf Boatyard in Branford, CT., getting a complete restoration.
