I am restoring a 14′ 1955 Century Seaflyte outboard. It’s mahogany lapstrake planked and will be completed for this summer. I’ve been working on this project for the last three years on and off. It was completely original when I received it. The interior hull needed nothing more than a washing to bring it back to it’s original varnished condition. I did remove the seating, front seat and back rest, mid seat and two rear jump seats, for chemical stripping, staining and varnishing. Forward deck was also stripped, stained and varnished, (in progress.) Also, in progress is the restoration of a 1957, 18hp. Johnson which I hope to use on it.
