Werribee River Association's Inaugural Small Boat Festival

Werribee River Association proudly presents the inaugural Small Boat Festival at Werribee South. The festival will be a great opportunity for experienced boat people to showcase their vessels and skills as well as novices to come and try. We need to enjoy as well as protect our waterways, and what better way to do this than at the festival on Sunday, 5 April, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

All unpowered watercrafts under 5 metres and powered boats up to 6-hp are encouraged to come on the day. Boats and kayaks will be available for hire on for the day. Hire or bring your own life jacket if you have one and wear appropriate footwear.

Kids’ activities will feature at the festival and include basic boatbuilding, boat races, citizen science, water bug sampling, nature walks, and tall tales from our resident Pirate and Mermaid.

Food and refreshments will be available for purchase. You may BYO picnic gear and make a day of it; remember to take your rubbish home with you.
