Wellfleet (MA) Harborfest Row/Paddle Harbor Cruise

Please come and join us for the first Wellfleet Harborfest Row & Paddle Harbor Cruise, June 1, 2013. The cruise will be led by local boat builder Walter Baron and Dick Hilmer, noted local kayaking guide. Register for the cruise at the Harborfest on June 1. Registration fee of $10.00 will be donated to the Harborfest. All cruisers will receive a gift in return for their donation.

The cruise will start at 3PM on Mayo Beach, Wellfleet, right next to the pier, weather permitting. We will make our way along Mayo Beach , past Chequessett Yacht Club and go up the Herring River to the dike, and return. Kayaks can be launched from the town landing west of the commercial pier, right below the Harbor Freeze. Boats on trailers will be permitted to use the town ramp. All boats must be capable of navigating open water, and must have required Coast Guard safety equipment.

So bring your sea kayak, sea canoe, Whitehall, dory, or other seaworthy human powered craft and join us on June 1.

This event sponsored in part by the Cape Cod Marine Trades Association.
