Washington's Birthday Regatta

The original Washington’s Birthday Regatta was the very first regatta held on Biscayne Bay in the winter of 1887, and was organized by Ralph Middleton Munroe – later “Commodore” Munroe of the Biscayne Bay Yacht Club. This year the Regatta will be held on Saturday February 22nd and is the 19th annual re-enactment of this historic event. The regatta, which is open to boats of traditional design, is hosted by The Barnacle Society, and The Barnacle Historic State Park in Coconut Grove, Florida.
