Veteran Captain's Stories

Step aboard the historic purse seiner vessel Veteran and cruise the Puget Sound with an experienced commercial mariner. The exact locations of the excursion will be determined by your USCG-licensed skipper based on weather and traffic conditions, but you may see picturesque places like Commencement Bay, Tacoma’s ports, historic commercial fishing grounds, and more. Enjoy provided refreshments as you hear about maritime history, nautical information and real-life stories from your captain.

This excursion is limited to a minimum of four passengers and a maximum of six passengers.

Departs from the Maritime Pier in Gig Harbor at 1 p.m. and will return at approximately 5 p.m. Arrive at the Pier 15 minutes prior to your departure time.

For best availability, register at least seven days prior to the departure date. Day-of reservations and walk-on passengers will be accepted as space permits. Payment is due at the time of your reservation. Participants must be at least 18 years of age.
