Rooster Week

-

Rooster Week is an annual wooden boat event held in Jamestown, Rhode Island, for builders, sailors, and owners of the Rooster Class Sailboat, both past and present.
Rooster sailboats were designed and built by Commander, Michael P. Smith, between 1957 and the 1980's.
Prior to the first Rooster Week in 2014, there were only 3 Rooster sailboats currently sailing.

Since 2014, eight new Rooster sailboats have been built, bringing the current total to eleven sailable Roosters, with more being built every year.

Rooster Week is a chance for Rooster builders, sailors, and owners to meet up, sail, and reminisce about the days when Roosters were ubiquitous on Narragansett Bay.
