Lecture: The Oldest Shipwrecks of the Florida Keys

The Florida Keys are rife with remains of shipwrecks and maritime disasters. Jeff Moates, of the Florida Public Archaeology Network, will discuss several that you can visit today, including the vessel remains of the famous 1733 Spanish Plate fleet disaster.

The lecture will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. Admission is FREE but you MUST have an Eventbrite ticket for entry. Florida Maritime Museum members can reserve seats by calling 941-708-6120.
