Fish Stories: A Veteran Heritage Cruise

Get up close and personal with the Gig Harbor commercial fishing fleet aboard the Veteran!

About the excursion: You’ve seen the fleet tied up in the Harbor. Here's your chance to experience commercial fishing from a front-and-center vantage point aboard the historic purse seine vessel Veteran. Join a USCG licensed skipper with extensive commercial fishing experience aboard the Veteran during a fall seine “opening.”  Observe local fisherman ply the waters of West (Colvos) Pass and visit historic fishing sites along the way. If time and weather permit, your skipper will take you to other local Puget Sound sights and points of interest. 

All excursions depart the Maritime Pier in Gig Harbor (next to the Tides Tavern) at 1 p.m. and return at approximately 5 p.m. Arrive at the Pier at least 15 minutes prior to the departure time.
Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
