Fifth Annual Sloop CLEARWATER Gala/Tom Chapin's 75th Birthday Bash

This year, Hudson River Sloop CLEARWATER Inc. will honor Grammy award winning folk musician, Tom Chapin, with the Spirit of the Hudson award at its annual gala. The Spirit of the Hudson award is presented annually to a community member who has shown a sustained commitment to the preservation of the Hudson River. Chapin will be recognized for his commitment to the Hudson River through four decades of CLEARWATER activism and inspiration through song. .

“I’ve performed with Pete [Seeger], played the [Great Hudson River]  Revival, and supported CLEARWATER in many ways over the decades,” said Chapin. “Now I feel blessed to celebrate my 75th birthday among the wonderful people who, like me, want to ensure the protection and preservation of our mighty Hudson River. I hope you will join us on March 1st in Garrison.”
