Edensaw Woods 30th Anniversary Party
Join Edensaw Woods in celebrating this occasion, mark your calendars for their 30th Birthday Bash, August 16th from 11am-7pm, filled with live demonstrations, music, food, and fun. If you can’t make it out to beautiful Port Townsend to celebrate, why not take your wooden boat out for a sale, spin a piece of wood on your lathe, get to work on that new deck, or grab a wood-working book and just start to learn. Edensaw Woods is located at 211 Seton Rd. Port Townsend, WA.
30 years ago, with a few sticks, a couple of tarps, and a desire to bring in the wood they needed to build the boats they love, Jim “Kiwi” Ferris and the late Charlie Moore, started Edensaw Woods on the Olympic Peninsula in Port Townsend, WA. Wood from Edensaw can be seen on boats all over the world, from multi-million dollar yachts, to small kayaks and canoes. Edensaw has been a sponsor and supporter of Schooner Adventuress and is proud to have supplied all of the wood for their recent 100 year restoration.
Semi-trucks take off from the Port Townsend and Tacoma branch daily to service the Pacific NW and all of North America. They have become a go to name in the industry for the boat builder, at home wood-worker, the vintage car maker, the guitar maker, and people will travel far and wide to visit their showroom that is often called a “candy shop” for the wood lover. With over 100 species who could disagree. And now, three decades later, the business has grown into 65,000 square feet of warehouse. Edensaw Woods has created a national and international reputation for providing the species its clients need, as well as being leaders in sustainably harvested forestry.
