Ahead Full at Fifty: 50 Years of Collecting at Maine Maritime Museum

The exhibit, “Ahead Full at Fifty: 50 Years of Collecting at Maine Maritime Museum,” opens on Nov. 10, 2012 and runs to May 26, 2013.

Fathom our depth, transit our breadth. Since 1962, our collections have grown in ways that will surprise you no end.

Celebrating our first 50 years, Maine Maritime Museum is compiling a retrospective exhibition of our collections’ finest. We have amassed over 20 thousand objects, 3 million manuscript items, and 130 thousand photographs from which to draw on.  

From gowns to gunnels, we’re going to strut our stuff.
