Found this on Vintage Boats and set about building it light and cheap. Total build boat about $300 nz ply and glass cloth with polyester. Ply was not treated and with a heavy scoring got a good bond.Could not believe how well it goes with me at 84 kg with a 5 hp OB.
This boat took me 4 years in spare time to design and build. It has oak frames and spruse planking, the decks are chery and the transom and thorts are mahogany.
The candlefish is a versatile small fishing boat. Originally designed to be a cartoppable fishing skiff for high latitude rivers and lakes, she has also proven to be an excellent yacht tender.
Michel Roy and his sons built LOON together as a first boat building project. LOON is a Herb McLeod One-Sheet-Skiff (OSS) which we modified with inside chine logs. The hull is fir marine ply, and the bright bits were gotten out of various bits of vertical grain douglas fir.

With assistance of friends we built 6 rowing shells using Mr. Ron Mueller of Wayland Marine of Bellingham, WA design.The Merry Shelly is an 18ft x 24" 35lb hull stitch and glue kit. The rowing device is a RowWing which was fastened to 4 interior supports.
Odessa is a gaff-rigged L.F. Herreshoff-designed Buzzards Bay 14 (17′ LOA, 3-foot draft, 5′10″ beam) sloop launched June 8 at Clark Boat Yard in Jamestown, Rhode Island.The hull for “Odessa” was built by Graves Yacht Yard, Marblehead, Mass.
The Eider is a wonderful 17′ 3″ cabin sailboat. It is a great step up in size and function from the 15′ Nancy's China.
The drawing board of Sam Devlin has created another winner. The Pelicano Shrimper is an excellent choice for anyone who wants to maximize practicality in an 18' 4" package. The design has a small cabin forward, with enough space for a v-berth for the occasional overnight.
