My Kayak is a Chesapeake Light Craft “Wood Duck Hybrid.” I started the build on 11/6/14 and completedit on 12/30/14. It took approximately 185 hours to complete the kayak, including time spent on making a “Greenland Paddle” and a few mistakes that needed to be rectified!

True North is a highly original “old style” Lyman Sleeper described as one of Lyman’s best big water boats. Modifications include installation of mahogany ceilings, a rear seat in lieu of a fish tank, and a Chris Craft 327 engine in lieu of the original Grey Marine Fireball.

1971, 60′ Pacemaker. I completed a rebuild to her bottom over the last 2 summers including the aft 30′ of inboard engine stringers, the aft 28 ribs from the keel through the turn of the bilge, the aft 12′ of the keel, aft 10′ of the keelson, and new stem, apron and knee and 73 planks.
