BLIGH
BLIGH is a classic deep vee sports fisherman designed by C.Raymond Hunt & Assoc Inc. Boston, Massachusetts USA in 1979. Bligh was launched in March 1980 and was built to exacting standards using the cold moulded ply method, by Dave Richards at Shipwrights of Deloy in Freemantle, Western Australia. Bligh is constructed of 4 1/4 inch sheets of Brunynzeel plywood with each sheet meticulously weighed before construction.
BLIGH was commissioned by Ross Warman of Perth and spent most of her life in Freemantle. In 2008, she was bought by her current owner and trucked across Australia to Sydney, where she underwent a 2 year refit at Fenwicks Marina, Brooklyn by Shipwright, Andrew Botting. She is currently at Church Point en route to Manly, Moreton Bay in December.
